Disaster Ministries

Disaster Ministries is a ministry of the United Church of Christ. It is part of the Love of Neighbor Ministry where we show our love to our neighbors in their time of need after natural or man-made disasters.

Darla Schafer is the Conference Disaster Response Coordinator for the Northern Plains Conference. We are assembling a Disaster Response Team to help respond to the needs of our Conference, our state and the United States.

There are many ways to be involved in Disaster Ministries and support this important work:

  • Connect with the Conference and be part of the Disaster Response Team.

  • Prepare your local church

  • Provide Emotional and Spiritual Care

  • Volunteer to respond at times of disaster

  • Create Church World Service Kits
